Robert Boorstin, Google, Polictics Online Conference
Robert Boorstin, Communications Director at Google and former speech writer and foreign policy adviser in the Clinton administration, spoke about the role of technology in the 2008 Presidential campaigns at March 4’s Fifteenth Annual presented by the Institute for Politics, Democracy, and the Internet at George Washington University in Washington, DC. Additional speakers included, FCC Commissioners, technology advisors of the top presidential candidates, and representatives of Facebook, youtube and myspace. The emerging role of wireless broadband in changing the political landscape, the correlation between politics’ reliance on technology and policy advocacy on behalf of technology, and rural broadband initiatives will be further explored at the April 21-23 WCA2008 at the Grand Hyatt in Washington DC. www.wcai.com
