With Webex, can you use a computer mic/earphone headset instead of calling the meeting call number?

Using Skype, or Yahoo is just another of calling service, so yes, they would work but again be independent of WebEx itself.
You can use the computers microphone and speakers to communicate with participants directly, assuming everyone’s systems have speakers and mikes. WebEx just leverages from the standard O/S facilities.
I beleive you have to setup your WebEx to use audio when you book the meeting. Your WebEx service also has to support it (It may be additional cost that your company hasn’t purchased).

Ok, missunderstood your question.
I currently have a Cisco IP phone which is pure software. I have a USB headset with microphone and headphones and that works quite well for Live Meeting, WebEx, and any number of conference services. I don’t have a physical phone at my desk
If you can use Skype through a computer using your headset to talk to anybody then yes it would work.
Note: typically the webex is used to show the presentation or demonstration. I don’t think it is the best tool for presenting video for meetings.
