Believe it or not, some of the best remote software is free. Most computers nowadays come out with two already pre-installed: Remote Assistance and NetMeeting, both work real well on good connections. Another one I do recommend is TeamViewer, you can find that at download.com, that one is also free. Hope this helps!

There is LogMeIn, which is available for Windows or the Mac OS. They have a free version, as well as a variety of other options depending on your needs.
