What are some alternative products to WebEx and GoToMeeting?

My association runs monthly webinars and archives them so am looking for varying product offerings to see which one fits our current need the best.

    Try Skype.
    It’s very affordable.

You could give Adobe Connect a try. You have screen sharing/remote controlling, vidconferencing, and all kinds of little webinar tools like poll questions and a whiteboard you can plug in to a dashboard that webinar attendees see. It’s nice to start a webinar with some poll questions while everybody is getting on so that the people waiting have something to do and you get some good data out of it. The meetings have permanent URLs that you choose/name so you can use them anytime

I think our organization pays like 4k annually for the service (we have a separate voice conference provider so I do not know how much the teleconf piece of Connect costs, but they have it), but we are quite happy with the software.

I do like the screen sharing and remote control interface of GoToMeeting better, though. It’s just a little slicker/more intuitive. But Connect has it beat in terms of collaborative utility.

The free version supports up to 3 participants if you want to check it out.
