Another hypocrisy exposed. If global warming was the threat they would like us to believe, our so called leaders would lead by example instead of the do as I say rather than do as I do mantra they all seem to like.

They definitely could but Congress, like almost all elected officials, operate from the position of, “Don’t do as I do, do as I say,” Two things happen when a person is elected to a government position: (1) They lose all common sense when it comes to doing anything, and, (2) They automatically see themselves as no longer being mere mortals.

Right .I’ve thought the same about His Warmness Al Gore. If we really were at crisis point, wouldn’t he make his speeches available free of charge. If he really wanted to help people and get the word out about his theory, wouldn’t he send a DVD of his findings to schools and organizations free of charge, instead of asking hundreds of thousands ??

I wondered when someone would think of that.
But a lot of ‘framework’ laws, rules, procedures etc. would have to be changed to make it legal.
Too many things require PRESENCE.

NOT THAT I AM DISAGREEING YOU UNDERSTAND, I THINK THE REPS & SENATORS BEING IN THEIR STATES FULL TIME TO ANSWER TO THEIR CONSTITUENCY FULL TIME IS A TERRIFIC BY PRODUCT. BUT IT WILL NEVER PASS IN A MILLION YEARS AND THAT IS WHY.

Pelosi doesn’t criss cross the country every week. In fact, she flies less than her GOP predecessor does. I doubt most congressional members get home all that often. So?

Videoconferencing is a great idea but why try to make it about Pelosi?
