Skype is a great program that is available for free for both Mac OS and Windows. It has a variety of features and the basic voice chat and video chat features are free of charge. Unfortunately, it does not permit simultaneous voice and video conferencing (as far as I know). Simply google skype and you should be able to find it easily. Skype can also be used to call phones but that costs money. You do have to sign up to use Skype but its free and they don’t spam you.
I have used conferencing between windows/mac for some time now, and there is no problem seeing eachothers webcams and chatting, though there is still no voice available in conferencing despite it being added for Voice calling.
So when they add the voice, there shouldn’t be any problem for all features to work.
