Web cam problem for Business video conference. 16 feet USB is not long enough to reach laptop. Any solution?

Laptops are portable. That means that they are designed to be easily moved from one location to another. Maybe i should have ur job.
you could try a USB powered hub. and try extending from there. a good powered hub adds a boost to the power signal and should allow for the extra four foot of cabling.
as far as what corperate folks are using most have dedicated VC systems by Polycom or Tandberg. short of that I would look at a good IP camera or a monitor with the webcam built in like the Apple displays.
